Clearing up some confusion!

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to clear up some confusion as we have gotten a lot of messages from people asking for work to be done on their bows (and crossbows). We are not a shop and do not work on other people’s bows. Unfortunately, while we have been working on our own bows since Liam started shooting in 2020, I do not have the time to do the work or the money to invest in insurance to actually work on other people’s bows. It is expensive to insure items that could blow up in someone’s face causing temporary or permanent damage. It is even more expensive to insure other peoples items while they are stored in your shop, because none of the stuff anyone buys anymore is really affordable! If you are looking for a shop that can take your bow and work on it, Performance Shooting in Malone has worked on my bows in the past and I think they still take on archery work.

While we do not work on people’s bows we have been making custom arrows for ourselves and a few others for a number of years. So if you are looking for a new set of arrows reach out to us and we will gather some information about what you are looking to get and we will get an estimate together for you. I will note that as we are not a dealer or ordering so much that we get discounts, so our pricing is not any lower than if you did this yourself if you had the equipment. We can do things as simple as cut to length and glue inserts to fully custom arrows with wraps, vane colors of your choice (some brand/size variety choices too), custom nock colors based on what’s available. We have built anything from 5mm arrows, to 6.5mm arrows (most common) all the way up to 27s for some target shooters. Depending on availability, we can usually turn around a dozen arrows in 2-3 days after all components are in.

Sorry as I know I have to tell people we can’t do work for them, but in this litigious society we live in, it is not worth a lawsuit.

If you have a local archery shop you like to buy from or get service at, leave their name and website in the comments and we’ll get them listed on our pages.

Also, while we are not there yet as we are still learning the software, we are going to consider offering a custom sight tape service using Precision Cut Software if you have a movable sight. This will require you to first meet us in our shop to take some measurements from your bow on a draw board and to measure your specific arrow weight. After measurements are taken, we will need to go somewhere you can shoot out to 65 yards, whether that is a local range you are a member of or somewhere you have property. We will bring our LabRadar and get arrow speeds at the required distances to create a sight tape. We would then return to the shop, print out a tape, and mount it on your sight. Like I said, we are not there yet, but this might be offered in the future.

Lastly, we might start making some stickers and or tshirts to start selling. This would not be done to make money, this would be done to get more people to visit and contribute to the sight. We do want to be the hub for all things archery in Northern New York. We want all the local leagues (adult and youth) to send us information before they start, score/standings throughout the season and pictures at the end of the season. We want every club in Northern New York to send us their events, indoors and outdoors, so we can add them to our calendar to get more shooters at all of the events. We want every local large scale event (R100, Total Archery Challenge, etc…) to have a group from NNY going there and connecting while there.

Side note, if I know you personally, I will continue to help you with your bow as long as you are with me while we work on things.

Shoot straight, lots of events still to shoot before hunting season makes everyone invisible before winter leagues.
