Upstate NY is finally getting a National Archery Tour Stop. The R100 shoot is one of the major 3D Archery experience tours in the US, and they are coming in June. BearPac Archery is hosting the event in partnership with the Snow Ridge Ski Resort. While I have not been able to attend a Bear Pac event yet, they seem like one of the most dedicated clubs in Northern New York looking to futher the sport in the area!
The R100 is a family friendly 3D archery event that travels around the country working with local clubs to put on amazing shoots. There will be 2 separate ranges (Safari Range and the North American Range) that will present targets that you do not get to shoot at other local 3D events. In addition, they host other challenges and shoots throughout the event to challenge shooters with the Steel Forest Challenge and the Iron Buck. They also typically have a youth area with dinosaur and NASP targets.
Show up and show out for this event, and maybe we can show the R100 group that this should be a permanent shoot. Who knows, if we get enough to show up, maybe we can convince Total Archery Challenge or the R100 group that there are other mountains in NY that could host additional events (Titus Mountain in Malone, West Mountain in Queensbury).

Looking to bring the whole family and escape during the day to shoot if not everyone is an archer?
Enchanted Forest Water Safari and Calypso Cove are theme parks about 45 minutes away. Dry rides and a water park features, entertain the family for hours while you enjoy the shoot. You can also stay at the Old Forge Camping Resort which is close to the parks.
