After shooting my current bow (PSE Perform X 3D) since about 2019, I decided it was time to commit to a new bow.
I have been watching the different for sale posts across Facebook Archery groups, Archery Talk and local shops waiting for one of the bows I was interested in to show up in the right color and in the right cam setup.
What was on my radar?
PSE Shootdown Pro with SE Cams, Elite Exalt 35 in Blue/Red/Sour Apple with Smooth or 75% mods, Elite Exalt 35 LD in Blue/Red/Sour Apple with Smooth or 75% mods
I felt that all of these bows would fit my need for a 3D bow that would not be out of place for indoor shooting.
After looking and not finding exactly what I was looking for, an Exalt 35 showed up in Liquid Bronze at a price I could not pass up, shipped to my door. As an added bonus, it came with the 75% mods, allowing me to keep my let off at 65-70%.
I jumped on it and a few days later it showed up, with a barely used set of custom strings and the originial unused factory strings.
It is built with the Integrate rest option, so I ordered a QAD MX2, also so that I could keep my old bow shootable if I wanted. I added a new Hamskea Peep Housing so I could keep the old one in the old bow, and just pulled the Aperture to put in the new housing. I will be pulling my Axcel Achieve Pro sight and UV3 Scope over from the PSE, as I love the adjustablity that I get with that sight/scope combo.
Going to get this all set up and hopefully get some range time with it soon!
